
Don Myers
Qi Gong Instructor, CP
Don Myers has over 20 years of experience as a practitioner of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong, and has studied with many masters and teachers. For over 15 years he has taught Tai Chi and Qigong classes, workshops, and private/group lessons. He has previously taught in Surprise & Tempe, Arizona; Berkeley, California; Ithaca, New York; Provo, Utah; and other locations.
Don is a Certified Instructor (Level II) and Professional Member of the National Qigong Association (NQA). He was featured in ‘The Healers,’ an article in the Ithaca College Quarterly. A graduate of Ithaca College and Syracuse University, he also holds New York State teaching certification (in Music K-12 and Library Media K-12) and worked for and with public education institutions at both district and regional levels for many years.
He studied Asian Bodywork Therapy at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, California, and at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona. Don is a Certified Practitoner member of the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA).
Currently a professional librarian, and formerly a training consultant employed by leading international suppliers of library automation systems, he has used these methods to help alleviate the ill effects of prolonged travel, computer use, and other modern stresses. As a semi-professional musician, he has used these techniques to develop relaxation and body alignments necessary for successful performance.
