Shiatsu: Soft Tissue Applications
A Massage/Shiatsu Synthesis Workshop
Therapeutic and clinical application using soft tissue and table shiatsu as its focus. This training is geared toward the working massage therapist looking to include acupressure points (tsubos) into their existing soft tissue massage practice, or shiatsu students looking to expand their awareness of soft tissue implications to their work.
Acupressure points (tsubos) encourage the relief of pain, the increase of blood flow, and when incorporated with soft tissue work, present a more lasting fascial release of bound or static muscular tissue.
Topics to be covered
- Anatomical and energetic overview
- Clear location of tsubos using muscular and bony landmarks
- Demonstration of soft tissue work, incorporating tsubo stimulation
- Guided student exchanges
