Zen Shiatsu grows out of the ancient intellectual traditions of Chinese Medicine, and the practice of acupuncture and herbalism.
In our 96-hour Chinese Medicine curriculum, we do an in-depth study of these traditions, to understand the place of Zen Shiatsu within the greater context of Chinese Medicine and learn to communicate fluently with other professionals in the field.
This Chinese Medicine course is accessible to students of all backgrounds. Anyone who cares about their health is welcome to attend.
Chinese Medicine IV: Disease Patterns introduces the Chinese classifications of imbalance and their relevance to Zen Shiatsu.
Students will learn how the Vital Substances, Eight Priniciple Diagnosis and Zang-Fu Patterns of Chinese Medicine relate to Zen Shiatsu diagnoses of meridian kyo and jitsu.

- Exogenous/Endogenic Causes of Disease
