Come study the bony landmarks, muscles and kinesiology of the body! In this course, we will locate, palpate and diagnose the muscles and bones of the upper body.

Understanding musculoskeletal anatomy is essential to understanding the location and workings of the energy meridians. This course will help Zen Shiatsu practicioners bring specificity to their work. Very importantly, it will also help them explain their work to minds operating from the western anatomical perspective.

There is no prerequisite for the course, and it is available to bodyworkers and laypeople in all fields who would like to improve their knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy. This course, offered once per year, is required for graduation from Zen Shiatsu Chicago.

This course covers the musculoskeletal anatomy of the lower body. The upper body is covered in the Spring segment, which is held over 10 weeks beginning in April. We offer a combination price of $900 total if you wish to purchase both courses at once.
